Twitch Image Sizes & Specifications Guide This guide is going to quickly cover what the dimensions are for each kind of image you'll use on your Twitch stream, including profile pictures, banners and panels. For Twitch extensions in your panel area, you won't need to use this guide as the majority are already appropriately sized. Twitch Profile Picture Size Your profile picture will always be in the users field of view therefore it's important that it looks clean, modern and unpixelated. Dimensions & Specifications Your profile picture will be displayed at 36 x 36, however you can upload any image and play with the zoom tool when uploading to make it fit correctly. File format must be .JPEG, .PNG or .GIF. File size must be no larger than 10mb. Twitch Profile Banner Size Your Twitch profile banner / header is usually used to showcase your sponsors, social medias or simply just your Twitch name. Dimensions & Specifications The cover dimensions are 1200 x 480. File format must be .JPEG, .PNG or .GIF. File size must be no larger than 10mb. Twitch Offline Banner Size This is important. People will look at this area more than your banner or panels below the stream if you are offline. Make sure you get a great design with everything you wish to showcase. Twitch Panels Size There's a lot of confusion over this area as you come across so many different variations. Your Twitch panels sit below your stream and the standard setup is three columns across. Dimensions & Specifications Square Panels: 320 x 320 (commonly used for sponsors) Rectangular Panels: 320 x 80 (used by most streamers) It's worth noting that there is no height requirement for the panels, so if you want to showcase a discount code with a call to action inside the design you'll be wanting an elongated panel. Twitch Emotes Size As an affiliate, you'll get three emote slots to use straight off the bat. Twitch emotes have set rules regarding the design. Make sure you follow their guidelines otherwise you risk being unable to upload emotes in the future without a manual review. Protip: Make sure your emote looks good on both a light and dark background before uploading. If you can't see it well on a dark background, try adding a thin white line around the emote. For Photoshop users, using 'stroke' will suffice. Dimensions & Specifications Twitch emotes display at 28 x 28 in the chat but you have to upload three different sizes of the same aspect ratio. You'll need: 28 x 28, 56 x 56 and 112 x 112 pixels. File size must not exceed 25kb. File format must be .PNG in order to allow transparency. Twitch Subscriber Badge Size Sub badges also have a set of guidelines attached to them. They're very similar to that of Twitch emotes and you can read about them here. Dimensions & Specifications Just like Twitch emotes, you need to upload three different sizes: 18 x 18, 36 x 36, and 72 x 72. File size must not exceed 25kb. File format must be .PNG.
